Oz the Musical

I took the kids to see Oz the Musical last night, with some friends, which was pretty funny and a different kind of entertainment for them. Ashtyn LOVED it and now wants to audition for various roles of upcoming shows in our area (WHATEVER), like she has time for that! Macen enjoyed it too, but at the intermission put his coat on and was ready to go...I had to tell him, "this is only a break, we are half-way through the show" his face was appalled, he was done. It was slightly to boring for him. We had fun, the 3 of us...dad had some one-on-one time with Ava, so all in all it was a great day! Although, I have decided that kids either are involved in the theatre or sports, there is no way they could do both. Just as much time and practice is involved with these performances as practices for sports. I slightly feel bad for Ashtyn that she won't be able to do this anytime soon, with all her commitments to sport organizations right now. She is pretty dramatic, which would make her pretty good..hmm..wonder where she gets that from? Maybe sometime in her future...(I doubt it) but we'll see...
