While I was giving Ava a bath the other night, she told me she was excitied about swimming in Papa's pool this summer. It caught me off guard, as I haven't heard her say Papa's name in awhile. She then said this:
Ava: "Yeah, I am going swimming in Papa's pool...but he won't be there...he died"
Mom: "Yes he did honey, but he is still watching over you and I promise that someday, when it's time, you will see him again, and he will hug you and kiss you and go swimming with you!!!"
Ava: "Yeah, I know...I wove (love) him"
Mom: "I know honey, I love him too"-(trying to choke back tears now)
Ava: "I wove (love) Michael Jackson too!"
Mom: (caught off gaurd AGAIN) "Really, well, that is nice to say"
Ava: "But he died too"
Mom: "Yes he did"
Ava: "Yeah, I gonna see him again someday too...him and Papa"
Mom: "I bet you will!"-(thinking to myself, I can hear my dad cursing out loud at that exact moment-"THE HELL SHE WILL!"-as my dad didn't quite care for MJ! LOL)
Ava: Starts humming the song 'Thriller'
