Our family Dog, Chewy went to Doggie Heaven Saturday night. We think he had a seizure and after it, he wasn't very responsive. He couldn't move, only move his eyes and blink. He was dying. The kids and us sat by his side for awhile, while dad called the vet and we got things together for him. We said goodbye, and now we are down a family member. It went down exactly like the movie Marley and Me. It is very quite around here without him moving around, drinking his water, crunching his food, rubbing his body on the floor, sitting on your feet. Very quite and different.
The kids will be ok, Ashtyn had the hardest time, but will be ok and adjust. He was our first child, in a sense. Ashtyn would use him as a pillow since she was 2, and he would let her. He loved the kids. He will be dearly missed-dog hair and all.
