Lord, I am over Micheal Jackson! Don't get me wrong, I love his music, however, if I hear one more of his songs, my brain will explode into a million pieces!
The problem: My 3 year old daughter loves him. Why? I have no clue. I think when he died it was all over the radio and she just caught on to his songs, and now just loves everything about him.
Ava, knows how to navigate the Internet to get to YouTube and find HIM! She knows how to navigate her sisters itouch to find HIM! She whines in the car until we play the CD...AGH, when will it stop?
I tried telling her the truth, that he DIED and is in heaven with Papa....that didn't work. She said "No he's not, look-there he is (pointing to the screen)...I want to go in there!" The truth about this is, my dad would shoot himself or MJ, if he was with him, he wasn't a fan! I can hear my dad ranting about his crazy behavior right now!
The Solution: I have no clue how to solve this. I tried telling her her he's DEAD, what more can a person do? He's gone, out of here, never coming back! But not to her...she looks at me with those big blue eyes, with long eye lashes batting away, and says..."I wove (instead of Love) him!"
What more can a mom do with that sweet response? I guess, let her love MJ....and hope it will die out...soon
