A little ranting this morning....the statement should speak for itself! I love the parents that think their kids are just perfect! seriously? I know how rotten my own kids can be, and I don't put anything past them outside the doors of our castle! I am not OBLIVIOUS to their behavior, nor am I going to act surprised if someone were to tell me something they did. However, those parents that think their kids are not capable of 'acting out' in public I want to slap!
It's hard enough being a parent, but having to deal with other parents sometimes is harder than dealing with their kids! It's not the kids fault anyway, they learn their rotten looks, nasty moves and extensive vocabulary from them. It's a learned behavior! My own kids have learned it, have used it, and have gotten punished for it! Why is it so hard for others to deal with it? The automatic defensive response from them floors me. I am not hypocritical, I too get slightly defensive when someone tells me something my kid said or did, but I stop, think to myself-YEP, that sounds about right, and then I ALWAYS apologize, make them apologize and later punish them for it.
I have always said, I'll be the parent who will be the first one to admit my kids are capable of anything...but, my kids also know if someone has to mention a behavior to me, they better start running! I WILL get down to the truth, and they won't like it-at all!
Kudos to those parents who think their daughters wear crowns and the sons are the Alpha Males of the school-HA!!!-your days are coming.
