New Knees!!!

Well, Ava's latest: New Knees

Ava: "Momma, I don't want to take a bath tonight, the water is going to hourt (hurt) my knees!"

Momma: "Well, honey it might for a minute, but it will be fine."

Ava: "hmmm. (tapping her chin with her index finger) I have an idea!"

Momma: "What is it?"

Ava: "New Knees!"

Momma: "New Knees? How are we going to give you New Knees?"

Ava: "You just take the old ones off with your fingers and put new ones on."

Momma: "I don't think that will work honey, but I can put some medicine on them and a special band-aid when you get out?"

Ava: "Hmm, can it be a Dora Band-aid?"

Momma: "Yep!"

Ava: "Well, ok. But Momma, can you put new knees on me before I go outside to play tomorrow?"

Momma: "Why don't we try to fix the old ones first." (this was a battle I wasn't ready to fight at the moment)

Ava: "ok. I Wove (Love) playing outside! But that driveway floor is MEAN!"

Momma: "Well, honey, maybe tomorrow you don't try to stand on your deck chair to get the basketball in the hoop...then the MEAN driveway won't hurt you!"

Ava: "That NOT a good idea Momma, how am I gonna get the ball in the hoop?"

Momma: "Practice Ava, lots of Practice, and Mommy will lower it for you tomorrow, ok? Now, let's fix those knees."

All because Ava decided to try to get closer to the 10 foot high basketball hoop, standing on her pink deck chair, that slid when she shot and she fell on to the 'MEAN' driveway, that took the skin off both knees. I think it is safe to say she might be our 3rd basketball star!
